The River Club
The River Club’s ten luxury chalets are set amongst lush riverine vegetation along a steep river bank overlooking the Zambezi River. The roomy wood and thatch chalets are decorated in gracious colonial style, each looking into the African sunset, with a special view of the river and Zambezi National Park. In the evening The River Club is enveloped in a symphony of sounds of the bush as hippo and lion calls lilt over the water. Elephant are frequently sighted on the small islands in front of the lodge. The main lodge building, with its pioneer style tin roof, houses the dining room and library which is stocked with volumes of historical and wildlife literature. Card tables and board games are found in the sitting area and a croquet lawn stretches towards the river. Fishing and sundowner boat trips to islands in front of the lodge are included in the rates.
