Camp Accomodations: 20 large tents with en-suite facilities including flush toilets , hot showers and 24 hour lighting provided by solar power. Tents are set along the high river bank. A large dinning and lounge area is built into an ancient Baobab Tree.
Local Wildlife: Area know for large elephant populations.
When to Visit: Anytime except April. Exceptional August – October during the height of the dry season.
Safari Activities at Camp: Game drives, walking, village visits to Maasai or Datoga tribes.
Tarangire River Camp
Tarangire River Camp is located just outside the western border of Tarangire National Park and is set upon a ridge over looking the Tarangire River. Views of Mt. Meru, Mt. Kilimanjaro, ,Ngorongoro, oldonyo lengai, and the Great Rift Valley can be seen from every corner of the camp.
Accommodations consist of 19 large tents with en-suite facilities including flush toilets , hot showers and 24 hour lighting provided by solar power.
Activities include wildlife viewing in the national park. Walking and cultural visits to local Maasai villages are also included.
